Job Description
- Generating business leads from the cold call, existing database, through references, existing clients, etc, identify potential prospects and contact them for meetings clients promoting company’s express / FTL/LTL transportation business in the assigned portfolio and geography.
- Ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business leading it to closure and meet sales targets
- You will manage your accounts by providing exceptional customer service, following up on orders, follow up calls, dealing with any issue and being there for customers when they need it.
- Follow up with the superiors on the business margins and final rates to be proposed to the client. Revise the quotation in line with the margins in case of negotiation. After the confirmation on final rates with superiors & Client, prepare the contract and send it to the client.
- Keeping a track of clients contract expiry and pitching for renewals
- To resolve, in collaboration with the appropriate parties operations, accounts, IT, suppliers etc. any disputes or issues raised by customers in an amicable manner without losing revenues or future prospects with the customer.
- Follow up for the payments from the client with the help of CRM team
- Providing the weekly/monthly Sales MIS Report to the supervisor
Key Skills
- Personable and extrovert, good track record of managing relationships with clients & with company personnel as well as external parties as needed.
- Numerically strong, with experience in the transportation services sector involving FTL/LTL/Express/Sundry business etc.
- Excellent communication skills in English, Hindi and the local language of operation. Ability to draft business-quality letters independently.
- Should be able to hit the ground running, ideally should already have a network.
- Strong MS Office skills especially Word and XL (and PowerPoint).
- Diligent with an ability to delve into detail where necessary.
- Uncompromising business and personal integrity, and the ability to instill the same culture within the organization.
- Knowledge of local customers, Associates & partners.
- Exposure to development of new markets.
- For ASM role, team handling experience is required.
